Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to Le Queyroix-Martin, a charming bed and breakfast located in the tranquil Monts de Blond in rural Haute-Vienne. Debra and Graham have lovingly converted a group of barns into a peaceful haven where you can unwind, breathe in the fresh air, and reconnect with nature.

Our cozy chambre d'hôtes offers five beautifully appointed double bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. These rooms have been created from the original apple and livestock barns, which date back to 1883. Enjoy a delicious evening meal in our dining room, adorned with captivating original features, or dine al fresco on our terrace overlooking the picturesque garden.

Surrounded by chestnut and oak forests, Le Queyroix-Martin spans four acres of grounds, including the enchanting apple orchard. Feel free to explore and discover a tranquil spot to read a book, or simply relax and soak up the serene atmosphere while admiring the breathtaking views across the valley. Keep an eye out for the graceful roe deer often grazing among the trees.

For nature enthusiasts, this area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists. With over 100 km of accessible tracks directly from our doorstep, as well as quiet country lanes with minimal traffic, you can truly appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. Venture further afield to explore the charming towns and villages, many of which host lively weekly or fortnightly markets. The nearby Lac St Pardoux offers opportunities for freshwater swimming and various water sports.

If you crave a cultural experience, the city of Limoges is just a short 30-minute drive away. Discover its fascinating museums, historic buildings, renowned art galleries, and world-famous porcelain manufacturers.

Getting to Le Queyroix-Martin is convenient, with regular flights from multiple UK airports to Limoges Bellegarde, a mere 20-minute drive away. Other airports, such as Poitiers, Tours, Bergerac, and Bordeaux, are all within a three-hour drive. Ryanair is also opening a new route in 2014 to Brive, which is just an easy one-hour drive away. Alternatively, if you prefer to travel by train, Limoges is served by TGVs from Paris Gare Austerlitz, easily accessible from Eurostar at Gare du Nord. Even if you are not traveling by train, the Limoges station (Gare Bénédictine) is worth a visit for its spectacular architecture. If you are traveling by car, we are approximately an eight-hour drive from Calais, offering multiple route options to bypass Paris and its notorious périphérique.

No matter the reason for your visit, whether it's a stopover during a longer journey, an action-packed holiday, a relaxing weekend getaway, or a search for your dream home in the area, Le Queyroix-Martin extends a warm and friendly welcome. We look forward to meeting you and making your stay unforgettable.

Stayed here for 2 nights and can honestly say that it is one of the best places we have stayed. Graham and Debra put everything into making you feel at home. The rooms are super and very comfortable and clean. The food is exceptionally good and home made. Our evening meals and the company were the icing on the cake. Thank you both!

Beautiful, new rooms and affectionate atmosphere

During our travel through France, we lived in several Bed&Breakfast accomodations and this definitly was one of the best ones. The rooms are new and you can see and feel the passion and big ambition Debra and Graham put in their rooms to make them as comfortable as possible for their guests.
For the breakfast they bake their own Brioche and you can choose between several self made confitures.
We had great conversations with the owner, who gave us also good advices about the region and local events.
We are still thinking about our trip and won't forget!
