You can find us in the Upper Cecina Valley, a region known for its rich historical and cultural heritage. Volterra, a significant Etruscan city with Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance remains, is the main cultural center in the area.Our recently restored stony farmstead, respecting the traditional Tuscan architecture, is located in front of S. Dalmazio, an ancient town just 700 meters away. This town served as the inspiration for the renowned writer Carlo Cassola's novel "Il taglio del bosco."
Situated in the district of Pomarance, in the province of Pisa, our farmstead lies in the beautiful High Maremma Toscana, near the scenic "Colline Metallifere." This area boasts breathtaking landscapes, ranging from forests like Berignone Wood, Tatti, and Monterufoli Wood, to stunning gullies, crags, and geysers.
Perched on a hill 350 meters high, our farmstead immerses you in the serene nature of the countryside. With 60 hectares of land, we proudly cultivate organic wheat and olives.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast (B&B) and enjoy dinner (half treatment) on our veranda, which offers a stunning view of the 12th-century Rocca Sillana. Easily accessible by foot, this historical landmark adds to the charm of your dining experience. Our meals feature the finest Tuscan cuisine, incorporating fresh organic produce from our own garden. Upon request, we can provide vegetarian options. All our meals are prepared using our own organic extra-virgin olive oil, ensuring a truly authentic Tuscan experience.

FROM THE NORTH (GENOVA - PARMA - LA SPEZIA):
To get to Podere Apparita from the north, take Highway A12 (Genova-Rosignano) and exit at Rosignano. Continue on the route "Variante Aurelia SS1" towards Grosseto and then take the exit for Cecina Nord. From there, follow Statale n° 68 towards Volterra and continue straight until you reach Saline di Volterra. Take a right turn towards Pomarance and once you pass the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After approximately 3 km, turn left towards S.Dalmazio. Just 500m after S.Dalmazio, you will see a sign indicating "Podere Apparita" on your right. Continue straight on that road for 300m and you will arrive at your destination.
FROM PISA AIRPORT:
From Pisa Airport, take the FI-PI-LI highway towards Florence and take the second exit towards Pontedera. Follow the signs for Volterra until you reach Saline di Volterra. From there, proceed to Pomarance and once you pass the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After approximately 3 km, turn left towards S.Dalmazio. Just 500m after S.Dalmazio, you will find a sign indicating "Podere Apparita" on your right. Continue straight on that road for 300m and you will reach your destination.
FROM BOLOGNA-FLORENCE:
If you are traveling from Bologna or Florence, first reach Florence and take the exit for Florence Impruneta. Then, take the highway towards Siena and take the Colle Val d'Elsa Sud exit (turn right). At the roundabout, continue towards Radicondoli - Grosseto for approximately 10 km until you see a gas station called "Total" on the left and the "La Speranza" restaurant on the right. Turn right after the restaurant and after 2 km, turn left towards Monteguidi. After a couple of kilometers, turn right towards Pomarance. Pass through the towns of Monteguidi and Montecastelli and follow the road signs to San Dalmazio. After approximately 3 km from Montecastelli, you will see the sign for our farmstead located 300m ahead on the left.
FROM THE SOUTH (ROME):
To reach Podere Apparita from the south, take the highway towards Civitavecchia and continue along the Aurelia highway. Take the exit for Cecina Nord and then follow route Statale nr. 68 towards Volterra. Continue straight until you reach Saline di Volterra and then turn right towards Pomarance. Once you pass the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After approximately 3 km, turn left towards S.Dalmazio.
