Our gites are available year-round, boasting private sun-soaked terraces for summer evenings and wood burning stoves to keep you warm in colder months. Longer bookings may be eligible for discounts during this period. In the off-peak season, we offer flexible stays, so please inquire about pricing. If you're looking for a larger accommodation option, it's possible to exclusively rent the entire house. Contact us for availability and pricing.

La Principale, the old main house of the mill, is our largest gite, accommodating up to seven people. It boasts three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a lounge area.

LAbricotier is situated in half of the grand main building of the mill and comfortably accommodates up to six people. With three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and an open plan layout with a split-level kitchen, dining room, and lounge, it offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Le Hibou, spread across two floors, is perfect for up to four people, or six with the use of the sofa bed in the lounge. It features two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and a large open plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge downstairs.

Le Chai, located on the ground floor and entirely accessible, is an ideal choice for couples or small families. It includes one spacious family bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds, an accessible bathroom, and an open plan lounge, dining area, and kitchen.

Appréciations pour Le Moulin De Chazotte, Cherves Richemont:

Superb gite
Review by: Lise and Alain Savoie, Oct 26 2010 10:15PM
We stayed 2 nights in this gite in early October. This is a beautifully restored mill in the countryside surrounded by vineyards, hence very quiet. The twin room was quaint, clean and comfortable, along with a large private bath. Breakfast was ample and we had access to a TV lounge and a outdoor pool. Close to Cognac. Highly recommended.

Directions

Le Moulin de Chazotte is situated in the picturesque countryside of Cognac, surrounded by vineyards and sunflower fields. The mill, located by the river Chazotte, used to be powered by its waters. The property spans over 12 acres of land, including woodlands, fields, and gardens, making it a tranquil and secluded retreat where guests can enjoy the company of local wildlife such as deer, wild boar, and various birds of prey soaring above the clear blue skies.

For those seeking a bit more excitement during their vacation, the nearest village, Cherves-Richemont, is only a short drive away (2 km). There, you can find local bakeries, butchers, and a restaurant. A little further afield (7 km / 10 mins drive) lies the historic town of Cognac. Surrounding towns like Angoulême, Saintes, and St. Jean d'Angély are rich in Roman and Medieval history, boasting fascinating architecture and lively markets. The charming French seaside towns of La Rochelle and Royan are just an hour's drive, and the renowned vineyards of Bordeaux are slightly farther, but definitely worth a visit.

Due to its rural location, it is highly recommended for guests to have a car. However, there are other transportation options available, such as bike rentals, which are particularly popular in the area. We can assist you in arranging bike rentals for your stay.

The region is well-connected with autoroutes, railways, and regional airports in Bordeaux, Angoulême, Poitiers, Limoges, and La Rochelle. Upon confirmation of your booking, we will provide you with a detailed map to help you find your way to the property.
