Description for B&B:

Welcome! We are excited to have you here. Our goal is to provide a vacation experience that allows you to escape the everyday and embrace new ideas. Whether you're seeking calm and rest, or looking for adventure and exploration, our beautiful region offers countless opportunities. From hiking and biking to simply enjoying the peace and tranquility, Grange d'Anjeux caters to diverse needs and interests. Families, individuals, and groups with varying preferences can all find something to enjoy during their holidays or long weekends with us.

Located 5 km west of Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse and approximately 30 km north of Vesoul, Anjeux sits atop a height of 242 m. The village is situated at the northernmost part of the department, in the Chanois stream valley west of the Planey low ground, bordering the Vosges plateau.

Covering an area of 8.71 km², the commune of Anjeux is nestled in a slightly hilly landscape at the edge of the Vosges. To the east lies the Planey low ground, which begins at a karst source and flows approximately 7 km south towards Semouse. The valley is about one kilometer wide and has an average elevation of 235 m. The Dorgeon and Chanois rivers flow into the Planey, while the eastern boundary is marked by the Fays forest hill, reaching a highest point of 303 m in Anjeux. This hill acts as a watershed in the Semouse valley.

In the northwest, the commune extends into the Chanois stream valley and the hills near Haute de Calenne and Charmot, reaching an elevation of about 260 m. The northern border runs through the La Levue forest.

Anjeux is surrounded by neighboring towns, with Dampvalley-Saint-Pancras and Cuve to the north, Girefontaine to the west, La Pisseure, Plainemont, and Jasney to the south, and Bouligney and Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse to the east.

With a history dating back to Roman times, Anjeux was once part of the Free County of Burgundy during the Middle Ages. Since 1271, it has been under various dominions, including the Luxeil-les-Bains abbey and the Faucogney family. The peace treaty of Nijmegen in 1678 brought Anjeux into the realm of Franche-Comté, which eventually became part of France.

The Church of Anjeux, built in the Gothic flamboyant style during the 15th and 16th centuries, is a classified historical monument. The 19th-century wash house is also of cultural significance.

South of the road from Anjeux to Bouligney, towards the Planey low ground, you can still find remnants of the La Sarrasinière castle in a small grove on the parcel of the same name.

One of the must-see attractions in the area is the Planey source, which showcases mesmerizing combinations of blue and green depending on the weather.
