Description:

Description for Gite

We have fully restored this accommodation in the former stables of Maisons-Laffitte, a city known for its love of horses, providing a truly authentic and "French" experience. Whether you are a tourist or a businessman, you will appreciate the rare and unique environment we offer.

Step inside and you will be greeted by a charming courtyard paved with gray Trianon antique furniture. Comfortable chairs invite you to relax, while carpets adorn the light wood floors. The curtains and bedspread feature the classic toile de Jouy design, adding a touch of elegance. The leather-covered desk, bronze sconces, and crystal chandelier enhance the overall ambiance. The elegant crockery and cotton bed linen from Egypt add a luxurious touch.

We have also taken care of modern comforts, providing a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, extractor hood, espresso machine, refrigerator, freezer, and a separate bedroom with a comfortable 160 bed. The living room offers two additional beds, cable color TV, DVD player, printer, wireless internet, telephone, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, and more.

The train station is just 8 minutes away, offering easy access to Paris via the RER A line. In just 10 minutes, you can reach La Défense, and in 15 minutes, you can be strolling down the Champs-Élysées. The SNCF train will take you to Saint Lazare station in 20 minutes, near famous department stores such as Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. The RER A line also offers direct service to Disneyland.

Within a 10-minute walk from the city center, you will discover The Grocery Longueil, a renowned delicatessen in the region. There is also a supermarket, a hard-discount store, numerous restaurants, and bakeries. The park, built in the seventeenth century by Mansart, is home to many beautiful houses, two of which have been transformed into gourmet restaurants.

If you enjoy horse racing, you can admire the stables and watch thoroughbreds train around the racetrack. You can also indulge in horseback riding, golfing, or take a leisurely stroll in the nearby forest of Saint Germain en Laye, just 10 minutes away. Saint Germain en Laye, located 7km from our accommodation, is a bustling city and the birthplace of Louis XIV. Its castle, built by François the First, houses the Museum of National Antiquities and offers an exceptional view of Paris from its 2,400-meter long terrace. Versailles and its magnificent castle are only 20 km away, and the Claude Monet Foundation in Giverny can be reached in 62 km via the highway.

As third-generation residents of Maisons-Laffitte and with 35 years of experience in antiques, we are passionate about sharing our love for our city, our region, and Paris - the most beautiful city in the world!
