This charming country cottage, approved by "Gite de France" with a 3-épis rating, comfortably accommodates up to eight people. The building, constructed in the 17th century and made of stone, has undergone a complete renovation. It is situated in St. Margaret of Elle on a spacious enclosed area between Bayeux and St Lo. The cottage is conveniently located near the famous landing beaches, the Regional Park of Cotentin and Bessin, making it an ideal base for exploring the Normandy coast and the department of Manche, including the stunning Bay of Veys and the iconic Mount St. Michel further south.

In close proximity, a variety of activities are available such as hiking, horseback riding, and cycling through the picturesque groves and villages along the Vire river. The St. Lo aquatic center, golf courses, fishing spots, and bowling alleys also provide entertainment options. Additionally, guests can immerse themselves in the region's rich heritage by visiting historic sites. Children will find plenty of enjoyment with the available games and activities.

The cottage offers privacy as it is an independent house. On the ground floor, there is a welcoming entrance, a spacious 25 m2 kitchen, a 40 m2 living room with comfortable sofas and armchairs, as well as a bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms with a combination of single and double beds, an additional bathroom, and two more toilets.

For convenience, the cottage is equipped with modern amenities including a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer, both indoors and outdoors. The kitchen features a wall oven and ceramic hob, while electric heating and a stove provide warmth during cooler months.

The weekly rates vary depending on the season: €550 during high season, €385 during mid-season, and €290 during low season. For shorter stays, the weekend rate is €190 and the midweek rate is €240. Monthly rentals are also possible.

Additional charges for water, electricity, and heating apply from November 1 to April 30, with a weekly fee of €25. From May 1 to October 31, the fee is reduced to €15. Guests with pets can bring them along for an additional fee of €10 per week.

For added convenience, bed linen and towels can be provided for €10 per person, and there is an option for end-of-stay cleaning for €35.

Directions

If you prefer to travel by train, the closest train station, Lison station, is situated 3 km away. From there, you can easily reach Caen, Cherbourg, and Paris directly.

Alternatively, if you're driving from Caen or Cherbourg, take the N12 road and exit at 37a. This will lead you towards Ballymena, Saint Lo, and the beautiful Cerizy Forest.
