Description for B&B:

Sue and Dave Scales extend a warm welcome to their beautifully restored maison-de-maitre. Situated in a charming stone hamlet, the house overlooks a serene green valley, yet is conveniently located just a few minutes away from the vibrant village of St Jean-de-Côle, known for its bustling restaurants.

For those seeking more historical attractions, the medieval town of Brantôme is also nearby and is considered one of the top destinations in the Dordogne.

With the Limoges airport less than an hour's drive away, connecting to various UK destinations, and Bergerac and Bordeaux airports within reach, accessing our location is a breeze. Car rental services are readily available from all these airports.

Our accommodation boasts a light and spacious interior, adorned with a mix of French and English antiques to create a charming country-house ambiance. Each of our two large bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to four guests and features a private shower room and WC.

The expansive two-acre gardens include a Mediterranean-style courtyard with shaded terraces for relaxation, as well as extensive stone terraces with lawned gardens leading to a generously sized swimming pool and sun terrace. The entire garden offers breathtaking views of the valley.

Rooms are available throughout the year at a tariff ranging from 50 to 80 Euros per room, depending on the number of occupants and the season. Payments are to be made in cash (Euros) at the end of your stay.

Situated in the Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne, we are only a short distance from the edge of the Limousin National Park and in close proximity to numerous tourist attractions. These include the historic town of Brantôme, known for its Abbey and picturesque waterways, the magnificent Chateau of Puyguilhem, and the fascinating caves at Villars.

A visit to the Chateau at Bourdeilles, with its historic tower, and the cathedral city of Perigueux are also highly recommended.

In addition to these cultural experiences, our location offers opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, canoeing, and fishing. Alternatively, you can simply relax by the pool and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.

If you are considering purchasing a property in our area, we would be delighted to share our personal experience of moving to and living in France with you. Additionally, there is an excellent English-speaking estate agent just a short drive away for further expert advice.
