The Seigniory of Gerbe was established in the 16th century and expanded in the 18th century by Claude de Guerin de Chermont, a prominent figure in the French government. By the end of the 18th century, it became the property of the influential Lord of Racault, Count of Reuilly, who held distinguished positions in the military and royal court.The Orangery, measuring 16 meters in length, serves as a link between the two square towers and the round tower, opening directly into the spacious main room and two living rooms. Illuminated by five large windows, it allows the sunlight to filter through, bathing the mandarin trees and other citrus fruits in its warm rays from noon until dusk.
A charming 400-meter-long path lined with lime and plane trees leads to the Castle's courtyard, adorned with a beautiful basin and fountain, providing a welcoming space for guests.
