Our finca is situated amidst the picturesque hills of El Terral, in the Axarquia region to the east of Malaga. The area is renowned for its charming white Moorish villages nestled in the mountains, each with their own vibrant traditional festivities. Our country guesthouse is conveniently located on the outskirts of the Moorish hilltop village of Comares and the enchanting Riogordo. Despite being surrounded by tranquility and serenity, we are just a short 40-minute drive from Malaga airport and the stunning beaches of the Mediterranean sea.

The name 'Algarrobo' signifies the majestic Carob Tree, also known as the 'St. John's bread tree'. The tree's edible pods, referred to as St. John's bread, are highly nutritious and can be used as a delectable substitute for chocolate. Unlike cocoa, these beans contain lower amounts of caffeine and fat. Furthermore, the seeds, known as locust beans, are the primary ingredient in the Spanish liquor 'Palo'. Upon your return from exploring the Spanish countryside or the beaches, we take pleasure in treating you to the delightful taste of this liquor.
