Description for B&B:

Welcome to our beautifully renovated traditional stone cottage, which dates back to the 19th Century. We have carefully updated the cottage to provide comfortable and charming accommodation, filled with character. Situated in a picturesque hamlet near the river Vienne, in the tranquil Charente countryside, our cottage offers a serene setting for your stay.

This area is renowned for its rolling landscapes, enchanting villages, and medieval chateaux, making it an idyllic part of France to explore. Just a short 10-minute stroll from our cottage, across the river Vienne, you will find the delightful village of Exideuil. Here, you can conveniently access amenities such as a bakery (essential for your morning croissant), a chemist, a grocery store, and bars.

Immerse yourself in the slow pace of life in the Charente region and join the locals for a leisurely glass of pineau, a delectable blend of local wine fortified with cognac. Enjoy watching the world go by as you savor this traditional French experience.

For those seeking a more active holiday, there are numerous options for day trips suitable for all ages and interests. Explore beautiful old towns like Confolens, Angouleme, and Cognac with its famous cognac houses. Take advantage of the rolling countryside, stunning rivers (perfect for kayaking), and dense forests with walking and cycling trails, ideal for exploring.

Take a refreshing swim in the Charente lakes, many of which have lifeguard supervision and beachside facilities. Don't forget to visit golf courses, chateaux, zoos, and Roman villas - two weeks simply won't be enough time to experience everything this area has to offer.

For your convenience, we are located just 30 minutes away from Limoges Airport. If you prefer to travel by car, it is approximately a 5-hour drive from the ferry ports of Caen or St Malo (if using Brittany Ferries, we can provide you with a discount code). Please feel free to ask us for more details on routes or any other queries you may have - we are always happy to assist you.
