Riad Dades is a magnificent kasbah that dominates the entire Dades Valley. Our rooms offer breathtaking views of the beautiful Dades Valley, with windows that open up to the stunning scenery.The construction of Riad Dades showcases traditional architecture, including the use of adobes - mud and straw bricks dried by the sun. These bricks are skillfully bound together with a mixture of mud and straw to create thin walls, pillars, arches, and decorative elements.
Another traditional construction method used is pisé, or rammed soil. This involves piling damp earth into a wooden formwork and compacting it to create solid walls. Once a section of wall is complete, the formwork is removed, leaving characteristic holes that can be filled with soil.
To ensure durability and protection, both the interior and exterior walls and roofs of Riad Dades are coated with a mixture of mud and straw. This coating is renewed every six years for the walls and every two years for the terraces.
The ceilings of Riad Dades are crafted using reeds on wooden beams made from aspen trees. These reeds can be replaced with bamboo stems to create intricate geometric designs. The entire ceiling is then covered with a layer of soil, approximately 25 centimeters thick.

To reach the riad in Ait Ibrirne from the N10 main road (Ouarzazate to Errachidia), follow these directions:
1. At the roundabout just before Boumalne Dadès, take the secondary road N704 (Boumalne Dadès to Msemrir).
2. The riad is located 9 km from this roundabout in the beautiful village of Ait Ibrirne. The GPS coordinates are 31.436579°N, -6.010036°E.
If you are using public transport, the Boumalene Dadès bus station is only 9 km away from Ait Ibrirne village, where the riad is located. If you provide us with your arrival time, we will be happy to pick you up from the bus station. At the bus station, there are two types of taxis available. The mini-buses, mostly Mercedes Benz 207 or 307, can accommodate up to 15 passengers. We also have grand taxis, which are mostly Romanian car DACIA lodgy and can accommodate six passengers plus the driver. The cost of the journey is 5 dhs per person. Just let the taxi driver know that you are going to Riad Dades, and they will assist you in reaching us.
If you are arriving at Ouarzazate airport, it is 130 km away from the riad. The journey takes approximately 2 hours by private car or taxi, and the cost of a taxi is 3 € per person. Many buses operate from Ouarzazate to Boumalene Dadès, where we can pick you up from the bus station. Please inform us of your arrival time so that we can arrange the pick-up.
