Situated in the Manche Department of Lower Normandy, our bed and breakfast is conveniently close to the Brittany border and only a short 15-minute drive from the enchanting Mont St-Michel.

Built in 1833, our traditional country house offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for your stay. Whether you are planning a family holiday or a romantic getaway, Carine and Daniel are delighted to offer three well-equipped en-suite rooms where you can unwind and enjoy the picturesque countryside surroundings.

Our accommodation boasts a large private car park, a tranquil and spacious garden complete with sprawling lawns, and a comfortable living room with a cozy wood-burning fire. And let's not forget our delicious breakfast, featuring local produce that will start your day off right.

For those looking to explore the area, we also offer bike rentals for adults, allowing you to discover the beautiful Normandy roads at your own pace. Additionally, children will delight in meeting our goats and three ponies, adding to the memorable experience of staying with us.

In addition to the iconic Mont Saint Michel and its magnificent Abbey, our location is ideal for exploring the many attractions of Normandy and Brittany. Nearby, you'll find Granville, Fougères, Rennes, Dinan, Dinard, Dol de Bretagne, St Malo, Cancale (known for its delectable seafood restaurants), and the American cemetery of St James. And for those interested in history, the D-Day beaches, St Lô, and Bayeux (home to the famous tapestry) are all within reach.

La Petite Chesnée is the perfect base for those who want to fully explore the area, embark on longer journeys, or simply seek a peaceful retreat. Our region offers a diverse range of experiences, from beautiful beaches and tranquil forests to medieval towns, castles, hiking trails, and bay crossings. There truly is something for everyone to enjoy.

Carine and Daniel are more than happy to provide advice and recommendations about the local area and upcoming events, ensuring you make the most of your stay.

For sports and activities enthusiasts, our region is a haven for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. There are also several golf courses nearby that welcome visitors. If you prefer water activities, fishing, swimming, and tennis are readily available, and for the more adventurous, options such as parachute jumping, karting, and sand yachting can be arranged. PONTORSON even has its own race tracks, where horse races are held during the summer.

Throughout the towns and villages, you'll find a variety of weekly markets, including flea markets, antique markets, jumble sales, and local celebrations and music festivals. Children on holiday will be delighted by the theme parks, zoos, aquariums, and the Alligator Bay Reptilarium, as well as numerous picnic and games areas.

Rest assured, children are also welcome in most restaurants in the area, ensuring a stress-free dining experience for the whole family.
