Description for B&B:

Experience the allure of a sophisticated French-style home. The Le Céladon residence exudes a distinctively French and inviting atmosphere, embodying the charm of bourgeois living. Meticulously modernized by its well-traveled owners, this residence is ideally situated in the heart of the town center, tucked away from the bustling streets. Its captivating facade elicits curiosity and admiration.

Upon entering the premises, a grand driveway leads to the entrance, which opens up to a dual-aspect foyer, providing stunning views of the park, reception rooms, small office, and family kitchen. The residence seamlessly blends historic elements with contemporary comforts, tastefully restoring original tiles, plasterwork, woodwork, fireplaces, and old parquet flooring. Up-to-date amenities such as bathrooms, a kitchen, and a pool with a pool house have been added, enhancing the residence's allure and elegance.

The enchantment continues as you step into the harmonious and spacious interior, with its large and small lounges adorned with comfortable sofas and armchairs. The dining room exudes a green ambiance with subtle Asian accents. A small office boasts touches of verdigris, while the welcoming family kitchen features a La Cornue range. The magnificent entrance leads to a vast residence that provides direct access to the expansive park at the rear, complete with a pond near the terrace.

The park, adorned with ancient trees, seamlessly connects to the secure pool and the modern pool house. The pool house pays homage to the maritime heritage of western France, adorned with souvenirs and accents that harken back to its original notarial roots. Several terraces, a jacuzzi, and relaxation areas complete the exterior, creating an idyllic setting for summer evenings spent admiring the sunset or indulging in French-style breakfasts.

The interior decoration of the residence exudes an air of distant shores, with each room showcasing its own unique personality and evoking memories of the owners' travels through carefully curated ancient objects and souvenirs. These items, thoughtfully scattered throughout the residence, add depth and character, creating an ambiance that enriches evenings, conversations, and encounters.

Ascending the grand oak staircase, you will find the private quarters on the upper floors, which house four comfortable guest rooms: "Perle," "Nacre," "Jade," and "Ambre." Each room boasts its own color scheme and shares in the tranquility of the surroundings. The second floor features the private lounge, "Anakha," a haven for relaxation, reading, and conviviality.

Appréciations pour Le Celadon, Montaigu:

Beautiful house and charming host
Review by: Keith Brannock, Mai 19 2017 12:55PM
My wife and I have stayed here twice and would love to retire to this house. The house is situated in the center of the town and is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Gorgeous is the only word that can describe the interior. The host is the most gracious person you will ever meet. Looking forward to our next stay. Thank you Sophie.
