Description for B&B:

The Bouchet mill, with its origins dating back to 1394, is documented in the historical records of Saint Hilaire de Mortagne. Throughout the passing centuries, it has served various purposes, functioning as both a paper mill and a grain grinding mill, before eventually being transformed into a comfortable residence. Our diligent efforts have been devoted to transforming it into a charming guest house that will captivate you and provide a welcoming, homely atmosphere.

Description for Gite

'The Mill: A Historic Residence by the River

Dating back to the year 1394, the prestigious Mill of BOUCHET has a rich history that can be traced through the parish archives of Saint Hilaire de Mortagne.

Originally functioning as a paper mill or grain mill, it has since been lovingly restored and transformed into a charming guest house. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail of the mill exudes warmth and comfort, making it a place where you can truly feel at home.

The Mill offers four spacious and inviting bedrooms, providing a tranquil retreat for our guests. Additionally, there is a cozy living room and a delightful lunchroom where you can enjoy a meal or simply relax with a book. Our well-equipped kitchen and back kitchen are at your disposal should you wish to prepare your own culinary delights.

Surrounded by three beautiful gardens, the Mill offers a serene atmosphere for you to unwind and connect with nature. We also provide private parking for up to five cars, ensuring convenience and security during your stay. For families traveling with children, we have a playground and a range of games to keep the little ones entertained. We can also provide a cot and a high chair upon request.

Adding to the charm of the Mill, we have a small menagerie of friendly animals including sheep, goats, ponies, and poultry. Interacting with these delightful creatures can be a memorable experience for both children and adults.

Located alongside the picturesque "la sèvre nantaise" river, the Mill offers a breathtaking view and a peaceful ambiance. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings, take a leisurely stroll along the riverbank, or simply enjoy the melodic sound of flowing water from the comfort of our residence.
