It is situated between the market towns of Thouars and Loudun. If you are traveling from the port of Dieppe, it is only a 4-hour drive, or you can reach it in just 1 hour from Tours & Poitiers airports.
Set in 3 acres of wooded grounds on the river Dive, La Grande Maison provides easy access to popular attractions such as Center Parcs, Puy du Fou, Futurescope, and the renowned wine regions of the Loire Valley.

At La Grande Maison, our accommodation is incredibly versatile, making it the perfect choice for groups of up to 18 people. The beautiful garden offers a delightful outdoor dining area, as well as a convenient summer kitchen for hosting barbecues. Additionally, we provide a secure bike barn for storing and maintaining bicycles, a fantastic games room complete with pool and table tennis, and a refreshing plunge pool for beating the summer heat. For those seeking outdoor adventures, the nearby river presents excellent opportunities for wild swimming, fishing, and kayaking.Reviews

Une maison accueillante et pleine de charme
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour pendant ce week-end du 8 mai, dans la Grande maison de la rue du 8 mai ... une maison où règne un esprit bohème. C'est une demeure ancienne pleine de charme et d'histoires avec une grande quantité de chambres, simples mais assez confortables. Un petit-déjeuner anglais très copieux nous a été servi dans une salle à manger au décor imposant. Chers hôtes, un grand merci pour l'accueil !

Une belle et grande maison de charme très agréable et très pratique car la suite pour 5 personnes est en fait composée de 3 chambres distinctes. Les prestations sont de qualité, l'accueil très chaleureux et les tarifs très abordables.
Je recommande vivement d'aller y faire un tour et je ne manquerai pas d'y retourner si l'occasion se présente.
