Description:

Description for B&B:

Located in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, Mr. Wendling's homestead is a stunning architectural gem. With a deep passion for renovation and a love for preserving the beauty of ancient stones, this skilled architect has breathed new life into a 16th-century construction. Affectionately known as "Cour de Truchsess" or "Cour de Bergheim," this historical house has been named after the two noble families who have owned it over the centuries. The grandeur of the architecture can be fully appreciated by passing through the wide bow gate, where a magnificent turret of stairs dating back to 1523 awaits. A charming sundial adorned with the Latin inscription "Carpe Diem," meaning "Seize the day," serves as a subtle reminder of the importance of cherishing each moment. Nestled in a tranquil setting, our homestead offers the perfect opportunity to explore the enchanting city of Riquewihr. Immerse yourself in its magic during the soft glow of sunrise, the mysterious embrace of autumnal fog, or the mesmerizing floodlights of the Christmas season.
