Description for B&B:

The Dunedin is a charming Victorian house that was built in 1886. It has been awarded a prestigious AA 4-Star rating. The house offers eight beautifully appointed bedrooms, each featuring a modern en-suite shower, wash basin, and WC. Additionally, every room is equipped with Freeview digital color TV, a radio alarm, a hair dryer, a cooling fan, and tea/coffee making facilities.

Located on a picturesque avenue that leads to the seafront, The Dunedin provides free and unrestricted parking on both sides of Alexandra Road and the surrounding streets. Despite being on the outskirts of town, the house is just a short walk away from the center and the seafront. This prime location allows guests to easily explore the numerous pubs, restaurants, and attractions that Penzance has to offer, all of which are reasonably priced.

Guests of The Dunedin can enjoy a delicious breakfast served in the bright and airy dining room on the lower ground floor. The menu includes a variety of cereals, chilled fruit juices, and cooked-to-order main courses to suit different tastes and preferences.

For relaxation, the guest lounge on the upper ground floor features comfortable sofas and armchairs. Whether guests want to watch TV, read books, newspapers, magazines, or tourist literature, or simply take a nap, this cozy space is perfect for unwinding.

To cater to the needs of modern travelers, The Dunedin provides free and unlimited access to the internet through their Free Hot-Spot Wireless Broadband (WIFI) network. Guests will need a laptop with a radio card, appropriate virus protection, and a firewall. Upon request, the staff will provide scratchcards to reveal passwords for accessing the network.

It's important to note that The Dunedin is a completely non-smoking establishment. Penzance is an excellent base for a holiday, as it offers a range of attractions within easy reach. The Penwith Peninsula is known for its hidden coves, sandy beaches, and ancient Celtic historical sites. Guests can easily explore these attractions by car, train, or by joining one of the many coach trips departing from the town's bus station. For those seeking more adventure, activities such as sailing, windsurfing, and hiking along the rugged coastal footpaths are available. If you're a theater enthusiast, the famous Minack open-air theater at Porthcurno offers a variety of plays and musicals to enjoy on pleasant evenings.

For a peaceful getaway, guests can take a day trip to the tranquil Isles of Scilly. Both the helicopter and the SS Scillonian depart from Penzance. Lastly, don't miss the opportunity to visit St. Michael's Mount, rising majestically out of Mounts Bay. This stunning island, owned by the National Trust, can be reached by boat or by walking across the causeway during low tide.
