Description for B&B:

Experience the allure of a brand new, inviting address that surprises guests with its bold and refined decor. MAISON 1780, located in Cournon d'Auvergne, offers a comfortable and friendly atmosphere in the heart of the Auvergne region. Situated just 15 minutes southeast of Clermont-Ferrand and a mere 5 minutes from the Zenith and the Grande Halle d'Auvergne, this charming establishment is perfectly positioned to explore the region's main attractions.

As you pass through the gate, MAISON 1780 welcomes you with its enchanting surroundings, nestled in lush greenery and shielded from prying eyes. This beautifully restored former winemaker farm, dating back to the 18th century, provides a haven of peace and a chance to escape the demands of everyday life.

Our three bedrooms, named "BERRY," "POLLEN," and "POTIRON," including a spacious family suite, are located on the first floor and overlook the delightful garden adorned with fig trees, lilacs, lavenders, rosemary, and oleander. Each room exudes a sense of tranquility with its soothing color palette and offers all the comfort necessary for a restful stay.

The interior of the house harmoniously combines modern and traditional elements, featuring volcanic lava stone stairs and slabs, original fireplaces, lime-washed timber-framed walls, oak floors, vaulted ceilings, and tomettes. Period furniture, designer pieces, and cherished objects create a warm and welcoming "family home" ambiance.

Guests have access to spacious communal areas, including a dining room and a living room. The surrounding hills beckon you to take leisurely strolls, while the terrace and shaded loungers provide the perfect spot for relaxation after a day of exploration.

Indulge in our gourmet and generous breakfasts, where you will rediscover the joy of taking your time. Savor a range of homemade delights, including jams, pastries, organic bread, yogurts, regional honey, cereals, fresh fruit, high-quality loose-leaf tea, and fruit juices.

Should you wish to dine at the property, we offer a table d'hôtes experience upon reservation. Our local cuisine pays homage to seasonal ingredients, traditional recipes, and the treasures of our region. The menu, priced at 45 euros per adult (including wine) and 35 euros per child under 18 years old, comprises a MAISON 1780 house cocktail, a starter, a main course, a selection of regional cheeses, and a dessert.

For your excursions, we provide several itineraries highlighting the region's must-visit sites.

MAISON 1780 is a captivating retreat that will enchant all travelers seeking a charming getaway in Auvergne. However, this hidden gem prefers to be whispered about, as those who have discovered it wish to keep it a secret!

Please note that our establishment does not accommodate children under 12 years old, with the exception of infants for whom we offer various amenities such as a crib, changing mattress, mini bath, and high chair.

Additional amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, work desks, and mineral water in all rooms. Hairdryers, organic soaps, and shampoos are also provided. During the day, guests are welcome to relax in the lounge and peruse the library. Outdoor spaces, including the terrace, garden furniture, and loungers, invite you to unwind. Our enclosed garden ensures the safety of your children and offers free private parking right in front of the property.

Nearby, history enthusiasts can explore the fortified old town, which dates back to the 13th century and showcases the architectural heritage of the region's winemaking villages. Nature lovers will appreciate the protected ecological site of the dry hillsides, as well as the pristine Allier River, known for its diverse wildlife and flora.

Come and experience the magic of MAISON 1780, where only our animal friends are not permitted.
