Description:

Description for B&B:

La Grande Lauzade is a historic Provencal house that was built in the 18th century on the grounds of a former monastery, which can be traced back to the 12th century and even earlier, during Gallo-Roman times. The original monastery, known for its size and prominence in the region, was looted and completely destroyed during the French Revolution and subsequently sold by the government. Today, the current house stands on the original foundations, made with the same stones. As it transitioned from a farm to a wine estate, La Grande Lauzade b&b retains its rich history spanning centuries. Nestled amidst the vineyards that still produce Lauzade wine, the guest house allows guests to enjoy the various levels of gardens. The pool deck, shaded by ancient "platane" trees, is just a few steps down from the terrace and features a 6-person jacuzzi. The expansive low garden is protected from the sun by a majestic cedar tree. Inside the house, guests can make use of a fitness room with a power plate, sauna, and a billiard lounge. The surprising highlight is the indoor heated pool located in the old basement. This charming "bastide" is situated in the South of France, in Provence, close to the breathtaking and preserved landscape of "la plaine des Maures," as well as the French Riviera and the picturesque and untamed countryside of "le haut Var."
