Description:

Description for B&B:

Situated on a hillside with stunning views of the OGNON valley, this picturesque village is a dream destination for fishing enthusiasts. It has managed to preserve its historic charm with notable landmarks such as the castle, the church with its distinctive "clocher comtois" tower, and the Grammont Hospital, which allude to its ancient origins as a fortified town.

The house itself dates back to the late 15th century and is conveniently located in the heart of the city, close to shops and just 50 meters away from the castle. However, it is set back in an elevated position within a delightful garden-park, offering guests a splendid vista of the lower part of the city and the surrounding landscape.

Pascal and Philippe have poured their energy into meticulously restoring this house, creating a welcoming environment for guests to enjoy pleasant moments in their company. The thick lime-seamed stone walls ensure the house remains cool, while the oak ceilings and thoughtfully chosen furnishings contribute to a warm and serene atmosphere.

The house features a spacious drawing-room and music-room, separated from the dining room by a traditional fireplace. Guests can relax amidst the grand pianos and Flemish harpsichord in this space.

On the second floor, there are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, all adorned with antique furniture and tasteful decorations. The impressive oak frame adds character to these rooms.

The large red room is a double room with a 140 cm wide antique bed, complete with a private lavatory featuring a washbasin and WC. Adjacent to this room is the blue room, also a double room with an old 130 cm wide bed, which can be connected to the red room through access to the shared lavatory.

For single guests, there is the yellow room, which boasts a 110 cm wide "boat-bed".

A bathroom with a bath shower, washbasin, and WC is available for the three rooms on the first floor.

Guests have access to various amenities, including the drawing-room, music-room, TV lounge, fully equipped kitchen, terrace balcony, and the garden-park with a swimming pool during the summer months.

Notable attractions in the area include the church, parsonage, 18th-century town hall, Renaissance Castle, and the historical Grammont Hospital with its 18th-century pharmacy. Guided tours of the city and the pharmacy are also available.

For leisure activities, guests can engage in canoeing, kayaking, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, visiting castles, fishing, and swimming.
