Description:

Description for B&B:

Located on the southern foothills of the Vosges, where the mille-étangs ("thousand ponds") high plateau begins and water flows towards the Mediterranean Sea, you will find our secluded historic farm, La Petite Rosière. Situated just above the commune of La Rosière, our farm is at the end of a quiet road with no traffic in sight, apart from our own driveway that leads through a grand covered gate. The surrounding landscape is open in all directions, offering opportunities for short walks on forest and meadow paths or embarking on longer hikes. Our farmhouse, along with the old bakehouse and the small "tourelle," create a charming ensemble. Across from our property, there is a vast orchard that gently slopes down to a picturesque bathing lake, adorned by a magnificent rock. Beyond the lake lies a captivating deciduous forest, where enchanting paths wind through moss-covered rocks and ancient trees, leading to breathtaking viewpoints and magical spots. On the other side of the old donkey path, which once connected our farm to the outside world, stretches the spring meadow. It is here that the water, supplying our house, emerges from the depths. Part of this meadow is now dedicated to growing vegetables and potatoes. Whether by the pond, at the forest's edge, on the rocks, or amidst the blooming natural meadows, surrounded by a variety of trees including beeches, oaks, birches, and ash, there are countless serene and nature-filled spaces to discover and embrace.

La Petite Rosière is a beautiful and peaceful place. Very nice rooms with a personal artistic touch. Lovely hosts - and the cuisine is a delight for tongue and eye. After five days in La Petite Rosière I felt rested and refreshed.
