Embark on an Adventure in the Sidobre
Nestled between Castres and Albi in southern France, lies a truly enchanting place: the Sidobre. This extraordinary granite plateau, unique in all of Europe, is a haven for nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike.

Hop on your mountain bike or lace up your hiking boots as you venture out to conquer this captivating territory. Along the winding paths, you will encounter colossal boulders, such as the Peyro Clabado, the Roc de l'Oie, and the Rocher Tremblant. These majestic rock formations, sculpted by the forces of erosion, bear witness to the awe-inspiring power of nature.

However, the Sidobre offers more than just awe-inspiring landscapes. It is a land steeped in legends and mysteries. During your exploration, you will discover historically significant sites, including the Maison du Sidobre and the St Salvy granite quarry, which happens to be the largest open-air quarry in all of Europe.

When you need to recharge, make sure to visit one of the many babbling streams that traverse the Sidobre or stop by the tranquil Lac du Merle. Here, you can indulge in trout or crayfish fishing, and I would be delighted to prepare a delectable meal using your freshly caught delicacies.

The Sidobre is a place that will continually surprise you at every turn, where the magic of nature permeates every corner. Don't wait any longer – embark on a captivating journey to conquer the Sidobre and experience its unparalleled wonders!

Directions

To get to the guesthouse, start in Castres and follow the signs towards Roquecourbe or Burlats. Once you reach the village of Lacrouzette, locate the church. Take the street that runs alongside the right side of the church. As you continue, you'll pass by the École St Joseph and the cemetery. Next, make a right turn onto the Chemin de la Fourézié. The guesthouse will be the first house on the left, easily identifiable by its white shutters. You can park your vehicle at the bottom of the house. Rest assured, I will be present to warmly welcome you upon arrival.
