Description for B&B:

Our elegantly furnished accommodations consist of two self-contained studio apartments, each featuring a luxurious king-size bed, ensuite shower room, small kitchen, and breakfast room. The kitchens are equipped to prepare light snacks, warm up food for children, make lunch packs, and even cook dinner.

Due to the COVID pandemic, we are currently unable to offer breakfast or evening meals. As a result, the studios are rented on a self-catering basis, allowing guests to enjoy the freedom and flexibility of preparing their own meals. The price has been adjusted accordingly.

We warmly welcome dogs, and our guest rooms open directly onto a spacious garden, providing a relaxing environment. The garden includes a picnic and barbeque area, as well as sunbeds for guests to unwind.

We are proud to introduce our lovable and friendly Border Collie named Freddie, who is loved by all guests and visiting dogs alike. Freddie is well-behaved and sociable with people, including small children, and other dogs. Additionally, we have recently welcomed Loupie, an equally adorable and well-behaved German Spitz, to our family.

Furthermore, our accommodations offer amenities such as Freeview TV with both English and French channels, complimentary internet/WiFi access, boules, a fridge freezer, microwave, cooker, hairdryer, and the option to use the washing machine and dryer upon request.

Located in a rural area, our B&B provides a unique opportunity to explore the richness of our region, savor regional products, and interact with the local community. Beyond the coastal area, Calvados showcases beautiful landscapes, architecture, and numerous tourist sites. From the historic Bessin area of the famous D-Day Landings to the picturesque half-timbered houses of Pays d'Auge, guests can discover the wild gorges and charming valleys of La Suisse Normande.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Bocage Virois offers opportunities for walking and fishing. The Pays de Falaise, renowned in the History of Normandy and the fiefdom of William the Conqueror, also awaits exploration. As guests explore this stunning area, they will appreciate the region's subtle diversity and the beauty of its natural environment.

Our location also provides convenient access to the famous beaches of the Normandy Landings, including Omaha, Arromanches, Juno, Pegasus, and the associated memorials. Additionally, attractions such as the historic castle at Vire, the iconic Mont St Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry, and the castle of William the Conqueror in Falaise are all within a short drive.

The surrounding countryside offers a range of activities such as motor biking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, paragliding, golfing, and fishing. There are numerous marked and unmarked walking trails, with Roche d'Oëtre being a favorite among visitors. Thury Harcourt, Clecy, and Le Vey are all worth a visit, and the town of Bagnole de l'Orne shines with its vibrant spring and summer displays of hanging baskets and flower boxes. The town also features a casino by the lake and numerous restaurants. The castle at Carrouges is just a 15-minute drive away.

Surrounded by history and nature, whether you are passing through or planning an extended stay, your experience at La Ferme Bed & Breakfast will be luxurious, comfortable, and memorable. Our tranquil and peaceful setting provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The only sounds you will encounter are the melodies of birdsong.

During your stay, you can admire the stunning dahlias displayed on the terraces opposite the house, which offer constant beauty and also provide fresh cut flowers from July until the first frost. We also provide a selection of tourist information leaflets, maps, and recommended routes for you to explore. Additionally, we are more than happy to recommend our favorite local restaurants.

Please note that we have a strict no smoking policy. Unfortunately, due to the age and structure of the house, we are unable to offer wheelchair facilities. However, the accommodation is conveniently located on the garden/parking level for guests with mobility difficulties, and parking is available directly in front of the door.
