Welcome to Simply Canvas, where you can experience glamping and stay in our luxurious cottages/gites with access to a private enclosed swimming pool surrounded by breathtaking countryside views near Bergerac in Southwest France. We are excited to announce that our booking season for 2017 is now open.

Our 6 safari tents provide a true glamping experience, offering private bathrooms and comfortable boxspring beds that make camping a lot of fun. Alternatively, you can choose from one of our three self-catering cottages or gites, with one of them being incredibly spacious and irresistible. All of our accommodations are located on our 12.5 acre property in the heart of the countryside, offering stunning views and a large enclosed swimming pool for all guests to enjoy. We are conveniently situated on the border of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne departments in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, just a short distance from Bergerac. Our region is often compared to Tuscany in terms of its beauty, featuring rolling hills, sunflower fields, charming wine chateaus, meandering rivers, picturesque bastide villages, scenic walks, and majestic castles.

Amidst this natural beauty, we warmly invite you to join us for a wonderful holiday. It's a perfect opportunity for your family to spend quality time together, make new friends for the children, enjoy lovely outings, and indulge in our famous delicious dinners, which are made with locally sourced ingredients, including veggies from our own garden. Description for Gite

Experience a delightful stay at our Stone B&B Cottage in Simply Canvas, where idyllic surroundings and charming natural details await you. Built with beautiful stones from our region, this cottage offers a cozy living room, a small kitchen, and a double bedroom in the mezzanine with a second sitting area. A downstairs bedroom accommodates two children, along with a spacious shower room and toilet. With a total area of approximately 800 square feet, this lovely cottage provides ample space for families or couples. Outside, you can relax on the private terrace with sun chairs or find shade under the plum tree while enjoying the picturesque view over the fields.

Indulge in the comforts of our lovely White B&B Cottage, a beautifully decorated and bright house spanning around 700 square feet. Bask in the afternoon sunshine streaming through the double doors as you relax in the small living room with a small kitchen. The mezzanine boasts a double bedroom, while downstairs you'll find another double bedroom, a separate bathroom, and a separate toilet. Step outside onto the terrace, complete with a couch and chairs, or discover the additional sun bed area tucked behind the house. With access to our expansive 12.5-acre property, you'll have plenty of space to unwind and explore.

If you're seeking luxury and ample space, our Big Holiday Home is the perfect choice. This fully self-catering accommodation was once the "chai" on our property, where wine was produced. After a complete renovation, this spacious and bright 1500-square-foot property will exceed your expectations. The large open space living room and kitchen with a TV and DVD player lead to a stunning veranda surrounded by glass doors, creating the ideal spot to enjoy your morning newspaper. The holiday home also features a private garden with a stone BBQ, outdoor dining table, and sun chairs. Additionally, there is a double bedroom, a separate toilet, and a special room for children, guaranteed to captivate their imagination with their sleeping quarters nestled within the remains of old stone wine barrels.

For those desiring an enchanting and unique experience, our Safari Tents offer a small-scale retreat. Spread over a 1.25-acre field, these six tastefully decorated tents provide slightly different decor and stunning views overlooking the fields. Each tent includes a veranda, privacy, and comfortable beds that we sleep on ourselves. Plus, you'll have the convenience of your own private bathroom just a few steps away.

Please see our pricing details for stays at Simply Canvas outside of July and August. Our rates include breakfast and a private bathroom for our Safaritents and White B&B Cottage. For 2 persons, it is €85 per night or €500 for a week with a minimum stay of 2 nights. For 2-4 persons, it is €105 or €125 per night, or €600 for a week with a minimum stay of 2 nights. The Stone B&B Cottage, including breakfast, costs €90 per night for 2 persons or €550 for a week with a minimum stay of 2 nights. For 2-4 persons, the rate is €110 (3p) or €130 (4p) per night, or €650 for a week with a minimum stay of 2 nights. Our Holiday Home, including breakfast, accommodates 2-4 persons and costs €150 per night or €850 for a week with a minimum stay of 2 nights.

For stays in July and August, our rates for Safaritents, White B&B Cottage, Stone B&B Cottage, and Holiday Home include breakfast and a bathroom. Rates start at €850 for a week with a mandatory Saturday arrival and a minimum stay of 1 week. Please note that our guests often remark upon arrival that our accommodations are even more beautiful than depicted in the pictures on our website. From Bordeaux:
Take the ring road towards Périgueux/Libourne and enter the highway (toll) just before Libourne. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 220m until you reach a white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
From Brive la Gaillarde:
Take the highway towards Bordeaux/Bergerac. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 200m until you reach a white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
