Description:

Description for Gite

During your walks and hikes, you will have the opportunity to explore the picturesque village of Talmont-sur-Gironde, renowned as one of the most stunning in France. Nestled in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, you can savor the exquisite Bordeaux wines and visit the charming castles that produce these fine vintages. Additionally, you will have easy access to the region's beautiful beaches, including Royan, La Palmyre (home to a renowned zoo), and La Tremblade. A short trip to Marennes and the Ile d'Oléron will allow you to indulge in the freshest oysters, mussels, and seafood sourced from the bountiful Atlantic coast.

In homage to the region's rich history, we have dedicated our gite to Aliénor d'Aquitaine, a prominent figure who resided here in the 12th century. Her legacy still resonates throughout the centuries, and you will feel immersed in her extraordinary world through the carefully curated interior decor.

Please note that La Demeure d'Aliénor does not provide breakfast or meals, but you will find a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal to prepare your own. If you wish, we can assist with your grocery shopping prior to your arrival, simply provide us with a shopping list. You can settle the expenses upon your arrival.
