Description:

Description for Gite

This charming 17th Century house, located in a Provence village square, offers a traditional and tastefully decorated accommodation. With its high-quality furnishings and traditional Provençal style, this rural gite retains many of its original features, including oak beams, a wood burning fire, and a spiral staircase. The covered terrace provides a lovely view of the village and town square.

Situated in the heart of the sunny Var region, this self-catering house offers the convenience of a hotel, with immediate access to local shops and facilities. With over 8 restaurants and bars in the village, you have the choice of dining in or trying out the local culinary scene. The village also offers a supermarket and 3 bakeries, all within a short distance from the house.

Maison Mimosa, the property, features 2 bedrooms and 1 large bathroom, accommodating up to 5 guests. The house spans three floors, each measuring 27 sq. meters. The spacious lounge, dining room, and country style kitchenette with an open log fire provide a cozy atmosphere. Both bedrooms are furnished with Provençal style bed drapes and have original oak beamed ceilings. The private outside terrace offers a perfect spot for dining and relaxation while enjoying panoramic views of the village and countryside.

Other amenities include a large bathroom with a bath and bidet, a clothes washing machine and tumble dryer, and electric heaters for winter use. All necessary crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, linen, electricity, and water are provided, and bed linens are made of cotton. Please note that the property may not be suitable for small children due to the stone staircase and multiple floors.

Flayosc, the village where the gite is located, offers a wonderful holiday destination with its 300 days of sunshine per year. Visitors can enjoy various outdoor activities such as walking, climbing, canoeing, and golfing. The area is also known for its vibrant Provençal markets and excellent wines. Flayosc itself is a peaceful rural village that embodies the Provençal way of life, with its charming shops and fine restaurants. The village also boasts a rich history, with detailed archives and a former shoe-making industry that is well-documented.

Flayosc is not your typical Riviera village, but rather a tranquil and dynamic destination. The Bureau de Tourisme et d'Animation Rurale organizes a variety of clubs and societies, cultural events, and traditional celebrations throughout the year. The village's library, street theatre events, concerts, and film showings provide ample entertainment options. Additionally, bric-a-brac markets take place monthly from May to October.

Overall, this Provence gite offers a delightful and authentic experience, combining the comforts of a hotel with the charm and character of a traditional Provençal house.
