Description:

Description for B&B:

The charming farmhouse, originally built in 1802 and thoughtfully updated while preserving its original features, is nestled in a tranquil lane on the outskirts of the hamlet, Chignat. Surrounded by expansive gardens and barns on one side, the property offers a peaceful retreat. The beautifully landscaped grounds spanning 2 hectares boast magnificent trees, blooming shrubs, well-maintained lawns, meadows, and a bountiful vegetable garden.

Accommodation options consist of five bedrooms, including a double room, a family room, two twin bedrooms, and a single room. Bernie, a professional cook, prepares delectable 5-star, 4-course meals for guests in the evenings. The ingredients used are predominantly organic and sourced either from the property's own vegetable garden or local suppliers. As part of the room tariff, a delicious breakfast is included, providing a refreshing start to the day. The breakfast menu offers a variety of choices such as fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread, preserves, porridge during colder weather, and ample coffee.

The property also features a small campsite on 5 acres of gently sloping meadow, accommodating 25 pitches. The campsite is adorned with an array of mature trees, shrubs, and an abundance of bird species, making it a haven for nature lovers (don't forget your binoculars!). Electric hook-ups are available for six caravans or camping cars. Additionally, two large, fully equipped trailer tents are available for rent. The sanitary facilities are top-notch, including a dedicated shower and toilet for disabled guests. The property adopts environmentally-friendly practices, such as a reed bed system for waste water and a comprehensive recycling policy. Guests can also enjoy the convenience of a games room located in one of the barns, as well as access to a fridge and washing machine.
