Located in a tranquil sanctuary, you will find yourself immersed in a unique wilderness setting where you can truly unwind and relax. The room is situated in a separate building from our main house and features a cozy 28 m² space equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Inside, you will find a comfortable 140cm bed, as well as a 90cm bed that can be converted into a sofa if there are only two guests. Additionally, we provide a library, table, chairs, mini-fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker, kettle, and crockery for your convenience. Outside the room, you can enjoy the garden under the shade of a pergola or opt for a breathtaking view while dining at a forest table. Children can also have their own designated play area. We accept payment by check. The price for the room is 45€ for two people or 55€ for three people, which includes a small organic breakfast (consisting of one double bed and one single bed). If you book in advance (only available on Fridays and Saturdays), we offer organic and vegetarian meals for an additional 12.50€ per person. Please note that we do not allow pets. In the nearby village, you can find a local potter and a shepherdess who sells delicious cheese. The Baronnies region offers various attractions such as a castle, a Cistercian abbey, a stunning gorge, an interpretive trail known as the "Little Amazon," and numerous picturesque villages that seem to have stood still in time. The scenery in this area is truly magical and has earned its classification.

Description for Gite

Located in the quiet village of the Baronnies, at an elevation of 660m above sea level, is the charming cottage known as "The Barn Owl". This cozy retreat offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and breathtaking mountain views.

With marked hiking trails right at your doorstep, you can easily explore the picturesque countryside. The cottage, situated on a spacious 3,500m² plot, shares the land with our main house and a separate guesthouse.

Inside the renovated barn, you will find a comfortable living room combined with a well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor. There is also a bathroom and a separate toilet for your convenience. Upstairs, you will discover two interconnecting rooms. One room features a 140cm bed, while the smaller room is perfect for children with its bunk beds.

Outside, a charming garden area allows you to savor your meals while taking in the magnificent mountain landscape. (*Additionally, there is a B&B option called "Chickadees" available for 2 or 3 people on the same site.)

Rental details:
- Outside of school holidays: 285€ per week
- During school holidays: 385€ per week
- Please note that pets are not allowed.
- Payment can be made by check.

At the end of your stay, a tourist tax of 0.50€ per person per day (excluding those under 18) will be charged.

Additional services:
- To keep you warm during chilly evenings, we provide a sufficient stock of firewood free of charge for the wood stove. However, please note that the main heating source is electric.
- Linen rental is available as an optional extra. Single bed sheets cost 10€, double bed sheets cost 15€, and towels cost 5€ per person. Payment for linen rental is to be made upon arrival.
- Upon departure, you have the option to either clean the cottage yourself or pay a fee of 50€ for us to take care of the cleaning.

Surrounding attractions:
The town of Lies is located just 8km from Bagnère-de-Bigorre, a charming spa town. Here, you can explore a delightful farmers market every Saturday, indulge in the spa center (Aquensis), watch a movie at the cinema, enjoy a theatrical performance, or take a dip in the swimming pool.
Within a broader area, you will find the ski resort Domaine "TOURMALET - BAREGES La Mongie" just 20 kilometers away, as well as the iconic Peak Midi de Bigorre (known as the ship of the stars) and the famous city of Lourdes. In our valleys, there are numerous opportunities for medium and high mountain hiking adventures.

Super régions , chambre dhôtes sans grand standing , mais elle a plein de charme et ce qu'il faut pour passer un séjour très agréable .Et en plus de la gentillesse des propriétaires le panorama est grandiose . Merci

Début novembre...Petit WE de repos dans un endroit paisible et un accueil fort sympathique.
La chambre équipée est très confortable et laménagement cuisine permet d'être indépendant pour les repas.Nous n'avons pas pu goûter aux repas du soir maison car nous sommes restés trop peu de temps.Nous recommandons cet endroit et un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur service.
