Description:

Description for B&B:

St. John Commandery of Artin is a unique guest house that offers a delightful combination of court, cellars, and garden living. Originally a hospital order of St. John of Jerusalem, this historic Commandery was transformed into a charming farm after the Revolution. Today, you can still explore the authentic barn, stables, and bread oven carved into the rock.

Our four guest rooms, named Aunis, Gamay, Jasnières, and Vouvray, pay homage to the richness of the surrounding vineyards. Additionally, we have a spacious family room called Jasnières, which can comfortably accommodate up to five people. Nestled in the old granary of the main farmhouse, these rooms exude a timeless charm with exposed beams and polished plaster.

For those who relish leisurely mornings, we also offer a delightful Sunday brunch that can be reserved in advance. Furthermore, upon request, we invite our guests to join us for the renowned "meal of the Commandery." During this special occasion, we create a warm and convivial atmosphere as we introduce you to our esteemed regional producers. Our dedicated host, who is passionate about food and wine, takes pleasure in crafting delectable alternatives for our esteemed guests to savor.

To enrich your stay, we organize a range of activities such as tasting courses, workshops, and sensory games for all ages. These public events provide the perfect opportunity to bond with your loved ones while sharpening your taste buds and deepening your knowledge of wine. Join us for an introduction to wine tasting and indulge in sensory tests that will enhance your appreciation of this exquisite beverage, all while creating cherished memories with friends and family.
