Today, it has been transformed into apartments known as Residences of the Abbey. The house is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Bourges Cathedral. During the revolution, the grounds were sold and Mr. Alphonse-Joseph Charmeil, an art teacher at the Royal Middle School of Bourges and the founder of the Museum of Bourges, decided to build this unique house in the style of Napoleon III.
