Built in 1883 on the banks of the Cher River in the picturesque Loire Valley, the mill of the port stands as a testament to history, constructed with durable tufa stones. Upon your arrival, Alexandra, our gracious host, will extend a warm welcome. You will be spoiled for choice with our selection of bedrooms, each offering its own unique charm - whether it be an exceptional view of the serene Cher River or a peaceful vista of the lush wooded grounds. Our house exudes a friendly and tranquil ambiance, inviting you to unwind and recharge. Lounge by the inviting heated swimming pool, marveling at the breathtaking surroundings, or partake in the various activities available to you. For families, we have two fully equipped and independent cottages, accommodating all your needs. Additionally, children will delight in the playground facilities provided.

Description for Gite

Located within expansive grounds, these two cottages have been meticulously restored and transformed from outbuildings into self-contained havens. Each cottage boasts its own private enclosed area, complete with garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor relaxation and dining. The interiors have been tastefully decorated and refurbished to a superior standard.

The well-equipped open plan kitchen offers a range of modern amenities, including a hob, a combination microwave/oven, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing and drying machine, a cafetiere, a toaster, and a kettle. Adjoining the kitchen is a spacious dining area and a comfortable lounge area, providing ample space for relaxation and socializing.

The cottages feature two delightful bedrooms – one double and one twin (or bunk beds) – with the option of an additional bed if required. There is plenty of storage space available for clothing and personal belongings. Guests will also have access to a convenient shower room and a separate WC.

Complimentary wifi internet is available throughout the cottages, ensuring guests can stay connected during their stay.

Directions

To get to Amboise from Paris, follow the A10 motorway and take the N°18 exit. From there, head towards Montrichard via Amboise. Once you reach Chissay, cross the Cher River and make a right turn at the first opportunity.

If you are starting from Tours, take the 76 National road towards Vierzon. Upon reaching Saint Georges sur Cher, make a left turn at the roundabout. Then, take the second road on your left.
